Designed, developed, tested, and implemented Java/J2EE software in support of the HSBC Global Finance group.• Designed and coded modifications and enhancements for a web-based tool that allows HSBC financial users to obtain information from the data warehouse to produce reports such as trial balances, balance sheets, and account balances. The application was developed with Java/J2EE, deployed to WebSphere servers, and utilized Spring, Hibernate, JSF, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, JMS, DB2, and Maven technologies. • Worked in collaboration with coworkers in China, United Kingdom, India and the United States to design and develop features from the initial implementation and over the course of 6 new releases. • Created and maintained components in JSF, AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, and Java to enable the user interface for the application.• Designed, created, tested, and maintained Java application code.• Developed new and maintained existing JUNIT classes for use in unit testing the application code.• Utilized design patterns such as Singleton and Factory to create services and Hibernate DAO objects. Created Spring XML files to configure the services and DAO for use in the application• Worked within the HSBC SDLC and Agile methodologies to complete projects. Design, develop, test, and implement Java, Smalltalk, and C based software in support of CSC clients• Designed and coded modifications and enhancements for Customer Service Accelerator, a web based customer service front end to CSC’s enterprise life insurance administration systems. Customer Service Accelerator utilized Java/JSF services architecture to process ACORD XML transactions for the backend life administration systems. Implementation of this software allowed a major life insurer to quickly implement call center functionality for their new Annuity products on a back end host administration system• Analyzed, documented, and recovered modifications and enhancements made to a client’s Smalltalk based CyberLife enterprise life insurance administration graphical user interface for conversion to the Java browser based interface. • Participated in the design, coding, and implementation of the conversion of a CyberLife Smalltalk GUI to the Java web based interface for a client. • Provided analysis of modifications to client versions of the CyberLife Smalltalk GUI to allow accurate time and cost estimates to be presented to clients considering upgrading their version of CyberLife.• Assumed responsibility for the programming, retrofitting of modifications, and implementation of client CyberLife GUI release upgrades.• Partnered with business analysts, clients, and host system personnel to determine requirements, design, estimate, document, program, and test modifications and enhancements to a client’s CyberLife GUI.• Consulted with and mentored clients and fellow employees in the use of Smalltalk and Object Oriented Programming concepts.• Provided client support as required for the installation, implementation, trouble shooting, and management of the CyberLife Graphical User Interface.

Design and develop software in Smalltalk, C, and Visual Basic in support of the Administrator life insurance system• Participated as part of a three person team that designed, developed, and coded a Graphical User Interface for host based life insurance administration software using Smalltalk and C on the client communicating over TCP/IP to a COBOL/CICS mainframe or UNIX host. This interface presented the data from the host administration system in a logical and user friendly manner.• Consulted with a client in creating a Visual Basic Graphical User Interface to LIDP’s life insurance administration software product. • Provided marketing support for presentations at industry conferences and expositions, technical presentations at potential client sites, and served as a technical resource for sales force.
