Production Coordinator
CurrentThe Theater Production Specialist 3 (Production Coordinator) is an experienced production professional responsible for day-to-day activities, policies and procedures, financial and personnel coordination, training and work lead of production staff and students, associated with the technical aspects of simultaneous productions and research projects for the Department of Music. The Production Coordinator is the primary representative of the Department of Music at concerts and has the responsibility for daily and long-term maintenance of facility and stage equipment, and safety compliance for all users within Music performance facilities. The Production Coordinator serves as a technical lead with a high degree of production and technical knowledge in the overall field with recognized expertise in all theatrical production areas including: theater management, construction, installation and maintenance of elements in a variety of theatrical craft and arts areas including direction, technical support, stage crews, lighting, sound, scenery, rigging, props, projection, multimedia, wardrobe, hair and make-up, and artist hospitality.Responsible for all activities associated with multiple/comprehensive technical aspects of theater productions, including procedures and administering/monitoring budgetary expenditures consistent with budgetary allocations, and training of staff/students. May be responsible for maintenance of theater venues, shops, and storage, including facilities and stage equipment, tools and materials, and establishing and ensuring implementation of operational procedures for all users within the facilities.
