Responsible for setting and executing the strategic vision of the company’s technology, and marketing the immediate and powerful benefits of Intellicure’s solutions to the wound care and hyperbaric medicine industry. Lead operations and strategic direction with full responsibility for bottom-line factors, including long-range planning, product management, and software development processes. Direct all operations for installation and service provision for Intellicure’s infrastructure platforms: IntelliTrak, Business Consulting, and MQA.

Founded the Intellicure Research Consortium to govern Intellicure’s growing wealth of patient knowledge in the fields of Wound Care, Hyperbaric Medicine, and Lymphedema Management. Instrumental in obtaining Data Use Agreements from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Veteran’s Administration (VA), KCI, HealthPoint, University of Texas, and the University of Washington.

Developed from scratch and managed the daily operations of two full-scope wound, ostomy, lymphedema, and hyperbaric medicine centers in Tomball and Bryan, Texas with annual combined revenues of $4.1 MM. Oversight responsibility for treatment protocols on an average of 350 patients presenting for therapy. Responsible for all wound care, lymphedema, ostomy, and hyperbaric equipment and staff.

Founded HSI with the goal of providing educational services such as continuing professional and community education programs, information sources, and a library on hyperbaric medicine free for public use. Continued development of HyperTrak, a computerized clinical documentation system for hyperbaric medicine. Merged with Intellicure in December 2000.

Turned around a floundering program from consecutive losses in June and July to over $50,000 in the black by mid August. Rewrote facility’s administrative policy and procedure manual to insure JCAHO compliance. Appealed and won over $75,000 in denied claims. Kept physicians updated on industry changes. Responsible for all hyperbaric equipment, staff, operations, and maintenance. Developed all wound care and hyperbaric-specific educational materials for South Bay Hospital, and presented those materials for staff continuing education programs.

Orchestrated the development of the new opened Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine department at South Bay Hospital. Supervised the two-month building renovation including the liquid-oxygen delivery system installation, saving over $20,000 in construction costs. Developed Local Hyperbaric & Wound Care Physician Policy Briefs, Administrative Policy & Procedures, Emergency Situation Procedures, and Physician & Patient Referral Guides.

Supervised nine hyperbaric technicians and continued to serve as a Wound Therapist, Patient Attendant, and Chamber Operator as needed. Installed and oversaw computerized billing system which handled over $280,000 in claims annually. Developed computerized patient and technician scheduling program, Therapist Training and Emergency Situation Management manuals, and informational databases using Microsoft’s Word, Excel, and Access. Responsible for maintenance and safety of hyperbaric facilities.
