What do pickleball, marketing, and music have in common? They all seem unrelated, but if you know me, it all makes sense. The simple explanation is I follow my passions and don't put limits on what I can do or what's possible. And it goes without saying... I'm not a believer in the bogus philosophy of a person can only work on one thing at a time or must "stay in their lane." I'm not afraid to take a risk, and that's made all the difference in my life. I started my career as a financial analyst and did that for almost 13 years! The problem with that is it limited my creativity and I hated working for the man... in a gray cubicle. Every day driving to work, I asked myself, "Why am I doing this? I hate this!"So, I changed it. In 2014, we sold our house and my wife and I took our kids to travel Europe. I've always been entrepreneurial minded and knew this was my chance to finally start following my dreams. Even if it seemed crazy to everyone else. It was a calculated risk and it paid off. 1. I began offering freelance copywriting services as a side hustle to make extra money while we were traveling. And that decision changed everything. I've since been featured in Forbes and CNBC as a top copywriter, written copy for celebrities, well-known brands, and even a former President of the United States. I was recently recognized at an industry conference for writing a sales funnel that reached $100M in sales. 2. I started Mind Castle Music. This is ambient music that can be used in so many ways. Sleep, meditation, deep focus, and more. I listen to it as I write. (As you can imagine, I spend a lot of time writing, and the radio is WAY too distracting.) But what I'm realizing about Mind Castle... it's genuinely helping people and I can see it! I've never had something I create and share truly help and change people's lives like Mind Castle Music is doing, and for me, that's crazy. I have to keep going with it! 3.
