My main role is responsibility for the site quality and quality department. Leading a team of 50 quality professionals ranging from Product Assurance Engineers, Quality Team Leaders, Process and Assurance auditors and Quality Inspectors. Tasked with maintaining industry certification, implementing quality Improvements, ensuring that the company maintains industry standards, applicable aviation safety legislation, customer & GKN Aerospace requirements in collaboration with GKN and Fokker process owners, site teams and associated stakeholders for the definition, deployment, maintenance of the QMS. Additionally I am a member of Site Steering Committee who are the senior leadership for the site.

Working collaboratively with the site Senior Leadership Team to create and sustain a Quality culture and provide appropriate governance and assurance leadershipPlanning, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the site Business Management System (BMS) as a complementary extension to the GKNA Global BMS and in compliance with global BMS governanceEnsuring that the local BMS meets all requirements for programs, customer needs and third party requirements within the defined scope of the site BMSSystemic analysis of Business Management Systems data to the site Management Review process ensuring effective, data based, factual inputs to business decisionsEnsuring the site’s audit requirements are integral to the Regional Audit Manager plans, ensuring compliance with BMS internal, customer (2nd party) and external (3rd party) audit requirements and delivering on site follow up activitiesPlanning, conducting & follow up activities (including systemic analysis of risk/opportunity) of product audit as required by the programs and activities within the scope of the BMS.

In the role of QLE, I combined an independent outlook with being a partner with the production and Program groups of the site. Ensuring and improving the quality of production processes, products and services, look beyond the boundaries of departments and act. Plan and host audits on products/services and production processes to demonstrate and ensure that these processes meet the requirements and expectations of customers, that they are robust and effective in achieving defined objectives. Reporting identified findings and opportunities for improvement, best practices and risks and supporting in realizing a continuous improvement culture.
