I managed the running of the community sports programme. I developed new opportunities to meet the needs and demands for the community. With this, came the responsibility of achieving an income target of over £250,000 pa and managing expenditure budgets of around £200,000. I developed strategic plans to achieve this income target, whilst maintaining an appropriate level of expenditure. I managed 50 members of staff and was responsible for recruitment and development. I built strong relationships with key stakeholders through effective partnerships to ensure pathways for sports were created within local communities. I created annual action plans that linked to key national strategies.

I supported the Community Sports Development Officer with the running of the community sports programme. This involved planning the programme around demand and popularity of sports, organising and running holiday programmes in partnership with Active Schools, assisting with management of staff and exploring new opportunities to integrate into the programme.
