Primary responsibility was managing the implementation of our web based, IP management database software for law firm and corporate clients. Used SCRUM Works project management application to track development and target testing effort. Took daily builds of the client application and database from the development server for testing. Used Bug Net software to log bugs and suggest enhancements, as well as Tortoise SVN to manage and share testing documents. Also supported the global organization by documenting US operations procedures in preparation for an application for the ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification. In addition, managed the relationship with a key account, at the request of the Global Director of IT.
Patent Docketing Specialist
Supported two databases for the firm-wide IP Practice Group. The first database supported was the CPi Patent Management System. Supporting this database included: reviewing communications related to patents, updating the database, querying the database, and running reports. Accomplishing these tasks frequently required writing and running SQL scripts. Additional responsibilities included: backing up the database, performance tuning, establishing new user profiles, providing new user training for staff, and acting as the liaison with the vendor. As the liaison, installed quarterly updates and any modifications received from the vendor, performed data transfers to the annuity service, and oversaw all work performed by the vendor. The second database supported was IPDAS, another proprietary database, which runs on MS SQL Server. Supporting this database included updating and querying the database, running reports, and establishing new user profiles. Also responsible for monitoring the daily transfer of data from CPi to IPDAS and reconciling discrepancies, as well as for trouble shooting both databases. In addition, was involved in various special projects, such as: data clean up and standardization of the IP databases, a proposed upgrade of the CPi databases, new client intake, and coordinating data imports for new clients. In addition to working with the databases, also trained and supervised the Regional IP Docket File Clerk for the Northern Virginia office.

Also implemented new procedures for docketing interference and opposition proceedings related to patents, processing invoices, and annuity management.
