Responsible for leading the L&D team (UK) to develop, communicate and deliver a learning strategy that supported business priorities and strategic projects, during a period of intense organisational re-design.

‘Technical’ staff in Guide Dogs are those with the vital responsibility for the breeding, welfare, socialisation and training of dogs and the support and training of visually impaired people. Every person in one of these complex roles is required to complete a role-specific ‘technical training programme’ of formal education, delivered in-house over 2-3.

Responsible for the deployment of all HBS-specific training initiatives for our EMEAI Service and Solutions businesses. This includes managing a small team of expert technical instructors, supporting our core product offerings.

Providing training support to accompany the EMEAI-wide implementation of new customer service processes and software applications, as well as hand-held mobile communication and reporting tools for field technicians.

Led the formation of a pioneering e-learning development team who's output was shown to increase learning retention while saving over 10,000 man/hrs in the first year.Key skills: team management and development: business consultation: project management; process development; content design; collaboration with an external software partner.
