Product Strategy for Artificial General Intelligence and Alexa at Amazon

In June 2020, I founded a podcast aimed at creating a digital version of the in-person hangouts that I host each month. Me and five other friends launched The Sons of Selvedge Podcast, where we discuss denim, menswear and related interests. I organize, host, record and edit the podcast, with the support of my co-hosts.

At Method, I oversaw client engagements from start to finish, balancing the needs of our varied client base while also looking after my design team. I applied my product management experience to many of our client engagements, enabling more effective digital transformation or product and service innovation. I learned about UX design, UI design, and business design to bolster my product management skills.

As an advisor to Blackhorse Lane Ateliers, I provide strategic advice that aids the business in continuing to grow their digital business.

At Blackhorse Lane Ateliers, my primary focus was our digital business. As part of this role, I handled the following digital areas: web product management, marketing, PR and social media. Additionally, I was a key contributor to the following physical areas: retail launch and management, wholesale and production.

At Lyst I led our mobile strategy, focused primarily on our iOS application for iPhone and iPad. Most importantly, I spear-headed an effort to fully re-design and re-write our iOS application. We successfully launched a fully Swift-based app, Lyst v3.0 in May 2016.

At Shazam I managed our music and social roadmaps, working with our platform teams (iOS, Android, Web, Server). I delivered key streaming music integrations with Rdio, Spotify and Apple Music. I led projects to build a streaming music player and personalised news feed. I also contributed to early-days planning of Shazam for Artists. Lastly, I worked with Facebook and Twitter to optimise our social media integrations, adding Pinterest, WhatsApp, Line and iOS Message sharing along the way. All contributed to Shazam's growth from a 250 million USD company to a 1 billion USD company.

For this role, I made a move to Paris, France to work with a Microsoft acquisition called Musiwave. This organization of 300 people contributed to the Zune ecosystem, and later the Xbox Music ecosystem. While on this team, my greatest achievement was the definition and launch of the music streaming and discovery website music.xbox.com. I also focused on other consumer-facing product and initiatives such as the Zune rebranding as Xbox Music, xbox.com video marketplace, and lastly Zune and Xbox commerce experiences integrated into Windows Phone and Windows 8 platforms. Lastly, I learned French upon receiving this role, and was soon after running entire meetings in the language.

For this role, I delivered numerous consumer-facing products on Microsoft's Mediaroom IPTV platform and also Microsoft's Foundation Edition cable TV platform. During this time I shipped applications for Mediaroom including a home media sharing application and a VOIP application. During this time I also optimized a majority of the Mediaroom UX. I also worked personally with Comcast and AT&T to include partner feedback and improvements into two TV platforms. Lastly, I contributed to design efforts within Microsoft TV, including presenting my own interaction designs.

Developed Lotus Notes databases, for internal use (productivity tracking) and external use (Websphere documentation).Quickly learned Lotus Script and Lotus Domino for database development. Assisted engineering team with web-development for hosting support documentation.
