A charity that specialises in bringing people together.We set up the Torbay Community Helpline a week before the first lockdown in March 2020 and since then have helped more than 8000 people and taken upwards of 40000 phone calls.Because we were fleet of foot we were able to hit the ground running and set up food and prescription delivery services alongside telephone befriending services to help prevent people becoming lonely and isolated. We continue to help with food, finance, mental health and wellbeing for the residents of Torbay.I am privileged to be able to share people's stories to help others understand the issues they face.We regularly feature on BBC Spotlight, ITV Westcountry, BBC Radio Devon and other radio stations, and a week does not go by without taking up a few column inches in our weekly newspapers, the Torbay Weekly and the Herald Express.
