I started in the Fire Alarm business in February of 1978. Frank Carideo called me in to work at FCI to sweep floors and learn the business...22 years later I left FCI having had the most storybook job anyone could have asked for. I traveled this country and 8 others, met all sorts of awesome folks in every city I have been to. I learned lessons that I am still putting into play today. Lessons about how to treat people and come out of a business relationship with a good solid working relationship and friendship as well. I learned that the best deals are done on a handshake and a promise and that actions definitely speak louder than words. When people take advantage of you or stab you in the back, don't reciprocate. Their actions will take them down their own dark path without your help, do your best to stay in the light...Never be afraid of messing up, because your true measure is how you respond when the pressure is on and not when things are fine.Never "under-commit and over-deliver"... Always over-deliver, never promise what you can't make happen, but always exceed your customer's expectations.And at the root of it all, is people, treat folks like folks and your a member of the family. Above it all are my Family, my Friends, my dogs and my Road King.
