I was an entrepreneur at birth I think (I launched late of course!), and have always made things for as long as I can remember. In 2000, while publishing a satirical take on the Olympics, I realised that I got the most out of making things that do good for others.So I founded Digital Eskimo (DE) in 2001, Australia's first purpose-driven Design Agency. We worked on ground breaking projects for many of the biggest NGOs, government and progressive corporates at the time – using participatory design (co-design) to scale the impact of purpose driven teams. (acquired in 2015 by Mentally Friendly – now Future Friendly), We launched two ventures from within DE prior to acquisition which we continue to grow ... Do Gooder a progressive-only digital advocacy platform used by top campaigners around the world to fight for social and environmental justice. And Compost Revolution – scaling home and community organics recovery (composting to normal folks!) across Australia (70+ councils, over 92k households to date). Recently we launched a third venture called Rebately – which makes it easy for councils to encourage green behaviour change via rebates (traditionally a painful manual process).
