Apart from the achievements shown in the Projects section I also:- Implemented major improvements in financial reporting including elimination of multiple redundant reports, refocusing reporting on management needs and automating many previously manual processes. - Implemented multiple improvements in internal controls globally. These included the implementation of software for recording and monitoring account reconciliations in thirteen operations; the design of a system to monitor and control capital spending; and the refocusing of internal audit work to focus on high risk operations following two earlier frauds.

Defined and implemented various continuous improvements in the M&A process which were then applied in more than 30 M&A deals. The improvements included extending due diligence into areas such as building infrastructure; building an internally hosted virtual data room; building standard due diligence and integration templates, and signing global agreements with key 3rd party M&A providers (so as to drive down transaction costs and speed up deployment of services).Financial Controller Rigid Packaging Asia Strategic Business UnitLeadership of financial and administrative functions in all Greif Rigid Packaging operations in Asia. • Significant role in all aspects of 4 M&A projects in Vietnam, Singapore, China, and Taiwan with co-lead role in contract negotiations in 3 deals; management and coordination of due diligence efforts in 3 deals; coordination of post-acquisition integration activities and running acquisition accounting in all 4 deals.• Active involvement in the growth of the Rigid Packaging Asia business by acquisitions, building greenfield sites and organic growth from US$160 million in revenue in 2007 to revenue in US$350 million in 2013.

Leadership of all financial and administrative functions in all operations in Latin America with 23 plants in 13 countries with the headquarters in Brazil. • Managed the finances of the division with minimal losses in a volatile and rapidly changing environment.• Project director responsible for implementing an ERP information system across 7 plants in Brazil, which resulted in significant headcount reductions.• Extensive involvement in acquisitions of various companies in multiple countries as well as divestments, plant shut downs and greenfield start-ups.
