The physical, scheduling, and mental demands of pro cycling require a relentless work ethic (having ridden 11,000 miles in over 700 hours of racing alone last year), a high degree of training and preparation, and a commitment to team work and goal-oriented accomplishment. Project Echelon is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that promotes veteran reintegration and support through endurance sports as an outlet for veterans suffering from PTSD and other service-related injuries. Through my work on the team, I assist veterans in regaining lost motor skills and function and help to reintroduce them to healthy, social activities that improve the quality of their post-service lives.

Orbital Laboratory came to me with a unique challenge: to modify the firm's Ford Transit transporter to be more ruggedized, power self-sufficient, and lift-capable to support their remote project shoots and staff adventures. This work included designing and prototyping (using Solidworks/CAD) a complete solar powered system and mechanical devices in use for actuating mechanisms with limited degrees of freedom.

Lead Mechanical Engineer for the design for flight hardware of the Orion Spacecraft Thermal Protection System for use in the 2018 EM1 Mission. Developed the Stable Transitioning and Retention System (STARS). Performed analysis of a novel optomechanical design, with a focus on thermal, shock, and vibration dampening, using nonlinear frequency, stress, FEA, and structural methods. Awarded 2nd place in American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) National Student Conference and “Most Robust System” by the University of Arizona Engineering Department.

Irvine, Ca

Paid engineering assistant under which the designs of electronic and electromechanical devices were evaluated in the development and research of an alternative-gearless wind turbine. Under the assistance of mechanical engineer Clark Foster, my work included resistance testing of coils used in their gearless generator. This research was later used to develop a new gearless motor and adapted to develop the company SkyTran.
