David's career in the technology and creative industries spans more than 3 decades. As an entrepreneur, David has broad experience in building successful global business from the ground up, while maintaining a strong focus on emerging technologies, their positive and negative influences, and their application to current business practice and supply chains. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Cognilitics, an IoT company that has created a world first multi sensor device and platform, designed to provide real-time smart data for cities across the world.David has a significant global network across multiple industry sectors, and is a sought after facilitator and public speaker.He is also the producer of BIGTECH an integral part of Australia's premier music industry event BIGSOUND, where he assists several start ups in commercialising their new creative technologies. As the Co-Founder & Managing Director of Musitec, a private, not for profit organisation and a world first creative industry focused cluster, based in Adelaide, he brought together the creative industries with hardware and software technology developers, to build platforms and new businesses that will underpin the creative industries and lead those industries into the future. David is also the founder & inaugural chair of the Music Industry Council for South Australia, is on the Creative Industries advisory board for the Office of the Industry Advocate for the SA Government, is an active mentor at UNI SA's business mentor program, & is on the Music Australia advisory committee.Through his work with the South Australian Government & industry stakeholders, has been instrumental in driving significant policy change within South Australia. Through Musitec, he also drove positive economic growth through the establishment of new business opportunities, & continues to build strategies with partners & governments throughout Europe, the USA, Singapore, UAE, South America and Canada.
