As director of Wind Prospect's UK services company, my direct responsibility was for advisory and wind resource services. The team provided consultancy services to developers, investors and banks across Europe and further afield. Sectors covered included commercial-scale wind and solar energy.I also had responsibility for Wind Prospect's business in South Africa, from where wind and solar energy consultancy services were provided to a wide variety of clients.I established Wind Prospect's French subsidiary, Wind Prospect SAS, in 2007 and held the position of President from 2008-2012. Wind Prospect SAS offers consultancy and asset management services across the wind and solar energy sector in France and French-speaking nations.During my final year with Wind Prospect I changed my role and became head of IT, Marketing and Quality, as a result of which I learnt a lot about business management and implemented new initiatives to improve effectiveness.

I established Wind Prospect’s European Advisory Services business in 2004, offering a variety of services to investors, banks and developers. I established the company’s French subsidiary in 2007 to undertake advisory work across France. Incorporated as Wind Prospect SAS, the French business is a great success and is expanding into construction and operations management in 2009. In 2007 and 2008 our primary work in France was due diligence reviews of portfolios for both buyers and sellers of French wind energy businesses. As GM of the Advisory team, I am continuing to expand the business across Europe and also act as expert advisor to external clients, recently providing contract and procurement advice for the 347.5MW Fantanele windfarm in Romania, one of the largest windfarms in Europe. I am heavily involved in business development activities of other parts of Wind Prospect's European business, including development of onshore, offshore and solar projects around Europe.

At Powergen Renewables (now part of E.On) I led a team of engineers responsible for the development of new windfarms in Scotland and Ireland, in addition to which I managed the construction of three windfarms with a combined installed capacity of 35.6 MW. These windfarms were located in Cumbria (Askam), Ireland (Tursillagh) and Scotland (Deucheran Hill). I negotiated and placed contracts for all aspects of the latter two windfarms and completed all three within budget.

Within Powergen's Combined Heat & Power (CHP) business I was responsible for managing aspects of CHP projects including EIA, engineering procurement and project development.
