Dr. David Grubbs began his career as a fund-raising consultant 24 years ago, and during this time, he has led scores of churches, schools, and other nonprofit organizations in successful Capital Campaigns ranging from $1 million to $25 million.Dr. Grubbs served two churches as Senior Pastor over a 35 year period. Both churches completed major building programs, funded by stewardship campaigns and the closing of major gifts and pledges. As a fund raising consultant, he is a specialist in conducting Capital Funding Assessments, Major Gift Campaigns, and Capital Stewardship Campaigns. He is effective in working with Pastors and lay leaders in designing and implementing a capital campaign.He recently completed a $24 million campaign for a Christian University, and a $10 million campaign for a Christian High School. Born in Tallahassee, Florida he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Divinity degrees from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana.He and his wife Melinda have six children and eight grandchildren and reside in Laguna Beach, California. They are members of Mariners Church in Irvine. He practices the philosophy of life that he teaches, “Giving is life’s greatest happiness. Only the things we do for others have lasting value.”
