At the Arum Project my role as E&I Supervisor with Bechtel was to manage commissioning of the plant, commencing with first energisation of Processing Plant switch rooms and associated field equipment including Dumpstation, crushers, conveyors, stacker, reclaimer and product sampling stations.Major achievements in this role we delivered the project safely.

Kinross Mine In Mauritania, Africa

Kinross expansion transformed Tasiast into a large, world-class operation, with low costs and a long mine life. Personal achievement on this project was working in both the construction and the commissioning teams and we completed the expansion in August 2018 that commissioned the largest 26 MW Sag Mill in the world that increased mill capacity to 12,000.

Gunpowder, Queensland

Commissioning a Copper refining plant that has been out of service for 4 years. Challenging project dealing with temperatures of 38 degrees daily to get this plant back into production, currently focused as E&I Lead to get the Ball & Sag Mill up and running, then moving onto water treatment plant and filtration. Project completed in December plant in full.

Commissioning an Oil Shale Project. Checking plant with P&ID's, walking down areas punch listing and repairing faulty installations. Setting up store supplies with spare parts. Supervise pre-commissioning tasks, instrument loop checking and motor testing.

New Caledonia

Provide technical support during day and night shift on initial plant production campaigns through to first production of Nickel Oxide and Cobalt. Supervised teams working on breakdowns and shutdown repairs of all types of instrument and electrical equipment.

Commissioned Refinery, Ancillaries and the Fire Systems plant wide. Trained French site fire brigade on operation of fire systems. Worked with completions team for modifications to plant supervising installation & commissioning of new equipment. ATEX verification and certification of hazardous area equipment. Training of French and Phillipino Technicians.

Kooragang Island

Scheduling labor and materials for unplanned and planned preventative electrical and instrument maintenace for the largest coal exporting port in the world. Managed specialist contract maintenance services for HV motors, HV circuit breaker relay protection, HV/LV Transformers and conveyor belt weighers.

Hunter Valley Coal Preparation Plant

Created and programmed Instrument and Electrical maintenance procedures. Revised CAD drawings. Ensured all E & I equipment complied to Deparment of Mines and Australian Standards.Created and programmed Oil and Vibration maintenance procedures.
