Merchandised beer and other liquor sets in chain stores across the U.S. utilizing multiple data sets and filters to achieve best value for each individual store. Balanced allocated space with best sellers, new features, and reliable movers through multiple metrics including sell-through, product origin, and physical dimensions. Working through multiple stores per day, each with it’s own unique constraints and product selection, the work provided a new challenge every few hours.

Remington Hair Care is under the Spectrum Brands umbrella, and this role provided a great opportunity for me to work once again in the manufacturing sector. As the Sourcing Analyst for all of women's hair care, I was the voice of our factory base internally to design, marketing, and engineering departments and vice-versa with our suppliers. Under the fast follow business model, 18 months from conception to shipment, I closely managed 10 to 15 new projects at any given time with another 30 existing products going through smaller changes.

I actively directed the purchasing and sourcing efforts for three on-site restaurants, 200+ rooms, hundreds of employees, a full service spa, and anything else that came up. I established new contracts with vendors, instituted new meal breakdown profit analyses, and unified siloed purchasing efforts into a cohesive organization with recognized purchasing power.

Managed the international and domestic sourcing efforts for a large 8 figure project rolled out to Target stores nationwide. During my time with PM I developed supply chains in China for LEDs, manufactured metal, and other electronic components. From initial supplier review and assessment on the ground in Shenzhen/Xiamen to arranging full containers of final good shipments, I truly came to love sourcing and supply chain work during this time. I maintained an annual spend of approximately 6MM per year, working with suppliers in many different categories including acrylic and packaging in addition to those previously mentioned.

I worked with the President and Owner on purchasing decisions across several product lines including cell phone accessories, pet ID tags, clothing, and more. I was directly involved with recommending new products to purchase, advertising, web site development, inventory control and management, and listing products for sale online. I also worked with our customer service and warehousing departments on quality issues and other inventory concerns.

As treasurer, and one of the founding members of the first university chapter of the Milwaukee Water Council, my duties included much more than maintaining the accounts. I was involved in new member recruitment, awareness projects on/off campus, touring local water conscious businesses and facilities, and maintaining a relationship with the Milwaukee Water Council by attending their meetings and making our successes known.

Research new product feasibility in the market place by assessing trends, competitors, patents, and distribution channels.

I worked with high school kids, building the theatrical sets from professionally designed plans. Educating them on proper tool usage and getting them to realize their full potential in the scene shop.

As a supervisor I was constantly being given various projects around the store, assisting customers with all there lawn and garden needs, and working with the stock crew to have a clean and well functioning store.
