Developed and implemented effective departmental educational projects, which included tracking, implementing and evaluating progress of students and staff.  Directed staffing development to enhance effective teaching strategies resulting in a rise in the national test scores by 55% across the school, and 87% of students increased internal literacy assessment. Wrote and implemented the English department development plan and policy, to ensure consistent growth. Managed large data entry to track and monitor 215 students, resulting in a 100% A-C pass rates. Collaborated with the PTA and funders to implement a fundraising event, raising $30,000 through ticket sales to 5,000+ people and community partners.  Developed a ‘Book Week,’ promoting literacy to 1,000 students and families, with an increase of 50% participation. Managed a $5,000 budget to purchase new equipment and books for Baobab’s library. Wrote the environmental education curriculum to meet international school standards. Managed the marketing and collaborative fundraising efforts for a theater production. Worked with the Minister of Travel and Tourism to develop a nationally televised speech.

Namaacha, Mozambique

Managed the development of the English department at a teacher training college, led humanitarian project initiatives and promoted educational events for at-risk students. Successfully developed start-up public health projects, including grant acquisition of $7,000. Managed a system to monitor and evaluate program data, with a total budget of $12,000. Constructed a library by drafting and obtaining a grant of $5,000, from Books for Africa, which helped bring in 5,000+ books to be used in classrooms across Namaacha, Mozambique. Successfully recruited and led 300 students through a teacher training program that saw a 100% graduation rate. Developed literacy curriculum for 100 teachers to reach over 4,000 students. Reached one million Mozambicans through a community forum on the environment, televised nationally.  Managed a strong partnership with the Ministry of Education to increase literacy scores in Namaacha, Mozambique.
