Working as a senior independent business consultant I offer commitment, passion and a wide range of experience and skills to my clients but in the end, there is only one commodity that really sells. Reputation. With over 35 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas industry I believe I have an excellent reputation for successful delivery, including;> Consultant Transition Manager for three major operatorship transitions, delivered on schedule and under budget (UK CATS gas terminal, UK SAGE gas terminal, Malaysia Seligi/PM8 oil fields and facilities)> Managing Director at EnQuest, growing and developing the company from the turmoil soon after IPO to become an efficient and effective independent operator in the North SeaIt’s not just about what you deliver. How you deliver matters every bit as much. I have a strong reputation for treating people at all levels openly, honestly and respectfully. It is not the only way to succeed but I believe it is less prone to failure than other, shall we say, more macho styles. What runs hand in hand with respect is a genuine interest in mentoring and developing people. One of the most rewarding aspects of leadership is having the skills and authority to develop individuals and teams and it is still one of the things that keeps me in consulting. Mentoring is the hidden reward to many consulting assignments. Please get in touch if you are looking for support on;> Interim management> Transition management> Non-executive director (NED)> Charity organisation and leadership> Anything else from our list of services on www.radicoenergy.comA final word. While many consultants like to stick around and find more things you need, I prefer a beginning, a middle, and an end. The beginning is defining what is required and what ‘good’ looks like. The middle is delivering what we agreed. The end is leaving you with the capability to manage on your own, shaking hands and agreeing it was good to work together.Simples
