A founder and general manager of NL News Now, the only local provider of Media Monitoring in Newfoundland & Labrador. I've been a part of this local industry since 1997, and took Labrador Communications and 709News from tape/vhs recordings and fax machines through to digital recording and delivery. The local industry has seen consolidations and take-overs, and I've overseen the business end of much of that too. And this is what brought me to partner in NL News Now. After the fall of Bristol Communications in 2010, there was a void to be filled and myself with 2 partners swiftly created NL News Now, hiring the best of the former staff and implementing the newest technology. A founding partner in Aczen. The company was formed to develop an automated activity logging system for computers and smart phones to help business professionals more accurately log their billable hours. The products are designed to work with existing project management and cost accounting systems for fee-for-service industries such as accounting, engineering and law offices.The products were Time-Aid for the PC and BlackTrack for BlackBerry. These products allowed users to get their timesheets done by drag and drop from an automated log. Unfortunately the product was unable to gain sufficient traction in the market to become self sustaining, so the business was shut down at the end of 2012.
