Asialink Business is the national centre for Asia capability. The Advisory team specialises in the development of market entry strategies for companies seeking to export to Asian markets. The Advisory team also produces thought leadership reports and information products to inform a general business audience of new opportunities to export to Asia.In my roles as a senior associate and acting manager in Asialink Business’s Advisory team, I have worked as a project manager or research associate on 11 strategic consulting projects. These projects have assisted clients in the software, human resources, education, workplace safety, FMCG and fashion sectors develop market entry strategies.I have also contributed to public-facing thought leadership work, most recently project managing Disruption and Innovation: Reshaping Regional Supply Chains. I was lead researcher on MTP Connect’s Frugal Innovation in Medical Devices and Technologies: The India Opportunity and Winning in Asia. My roles have also involved managing and contributing to the development of public-facing information products, including market-specific sector guides.

This work extensively engages my bilingual interviewing skills.

I directed a bilingual team of junior analysts undertaking Chinese media monitoring for monthly publications on Chinese economic and financial policy. I also directed and conducted in-depth Chinese-language research on trade policy regulatory questions, primarily concerning food imports, for commissioned projects. I was involved in tendering for these projects, including project design and budget planning.
