During the course of my profession career, I have been in various roles of responsibility and leadership. These prior experiences have helped prepare me for the position I currently hold as the Director of Community Outreach at The Breathing Association, an agency I have been with for the past 16 years. During my time at TBA, I have held positions as the Medical Supplies/Outreach Coordinator and the Outreach Manager. I am also proud to have served in the United States Army Reserves for the past 22 years, where I am a Sergeant First Class, and hold the position of Platoon Sergeant of the 454th Transportation Company in Columbus, OH, completing deployments to Iraq and Poland.Prior to joining The Breathing Association, I worked at the American Red Cross as a Donor Counselor, at Riverside Hospital as a Patient Care Tech on cardiac and EP units, and at Capital City Medical Association as the lead Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. I have been elected as president for St. Mark’s Lodge no. 7, Prince Hall Masons, Esther Chapter no 3, Order of Eastern Star, and Johnson Chapter no. 3, Royal Arch Masons; held committee chair positions as a member of Eta Nu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi. Because of the hard work and dedication I have displayed, I have won the Brotherhood Award, Col Charles Young Military Leadership Award, and Hero Awards from Omega Psi Phi; 2nd place Lodge of the Year from Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio; Superior Service Award from Chalmer P.Wylie V.A. clinic, and various commendations from the US Army.
