Lead for funding and development strategies for sector-leading Widening Participation initiatives; capital and revenue projects in areas of institutional significance; and jumping into everything else going on at this incredible place whenever I can - from varsity rugby to organisational change. Working closely with senior leadership, I represent a portfolio of institution-wide projects to a constituency of corporate partners, grantmakers, highly influential alumni and philanthropists, as well as public and third sector entities on behalf of one of the world’s leading universities. Behind the scenes I manage projects and programmes of work to support Edinburgh's propositions to its stakeholders, and ensure we deliver impactful, sustainable interventions with our partners.

Responsible for oversight and strategic management of the institutional principal gift pipeline, leading the development of solicitation strategies for Monash University's large-scale partners and philanthropic donors. Further responsible for direction of key enabling functions: managing a team of professionals including researchers, analysts, and a writer, creating impact across the University through dynamic and insightful management of key services, pipelines, and proposals. More broadly, building a strong philanthropic culture at Monash through change initiatives across the donor cycle, divided between internal work preparing for and launching a Campaign of scale ($500m and 50,000 donors) and consequence, and externally working directly with foundations, companies, alumni, and donors. Responsible for supporting the development and delivery of a wide range of institutional advancement projects, ensuring activities of faculties are aligned with overall University strategy. Responsible for increasing substantial and ongoing philanthropic support for Monash through principal gift fundraising.

Based in the Development & External Affairs directorate, I was responsible for developing and delivering funding strategies for a wide range of projects across the University. I worked directly with trusts, companies and individuals and led on a number of institutional advancement projects, including student experience, sport, widening participation, and research. I worked with the Vice-Chancellor and University Secretary on major external bids and relationships, represented the University at stakeholder and public events in the UK and USA, and contributed to strategy and delivery of direct mail and telephone fundraising campaigns.

Venture Trust helps people who are disadvantaged, marginalised or living chaotic lifestyles to increase their confidence, lift their aspirations and move forward positively with their lives. As part of a small funding team I was responsible for maintaining and developing revenue streams, including project managing high-quality bids to trusts, foundations, the BIG Lottery Fund, statutory bodies and corporate social responsibility schemes. I handled all elements of contract management including financial and performance reporting. I also recruited and line-managed Funding Assistants on Venture Trust's fundraising internship programme.
