Procurement Lead - 'Project Horizon' (Transformation Of Procurement & Finance)Cathay Pacific Airways Mar 2013 - Oct 2015Hong KongCathay Pacific Airways• Cathay Pacific is an international airline based in Hong Kong, offering scheduled Passenger and Cargo services to 203 destinations in 50 countries. • As at 31st December 2014 the Airline had 147 wide & narrow body aircraft in its fleet, including Airbus A320, A321, A330, A340 and Boeing 747 and 777 aircraft types, with 79 aircraft on order including Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000, and Boeing 777-9X aircraft types. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Dragonair, operates 41 aircraft on scheduled services to destinations in Mainland China and Asia. In 2014 Cathay Pacific & Dragonair carried nearly 32 million passengers and over 1.8 million tonnes of cargo and mail. • Cathay Pacific and its subsidiaries employ almost 33,000 people worldwide, with 25,000 in Hong Kong. In July 2014, Cathay Pacific was named as the World’s Best Airline at the Skytrax annual World Airline Awards. This is the fourth time Cathay has received this award, which is decided by public voting.Project Horizon• Project Horizon' is a four-year transformation and modernisation of Cathay Pacific Airways' Group Procurement and Finance corporate functions.• As Procurement Lead on this project, I am responsible for leading a team of four Procurement Specialists. Working with E&Y (Ernst & Young) we conducted an 'as is' assessment using a leading Procurement Operating Model.
