During my time at Trailside Creative I expanded my knowledge of business operations by completing many tasks including,Developing business management tools such as:- A paid time off planner/calculator, which provides accurate data to all employees, allowing them to seamlessly plan their days off- A B2B contact matching tool which cross-references tradeshow directories with our own contact database and will increase the likelihood of lasting connections being made at tradeshows- A quick but specific form for manufacturers to input themselves into our manufacturing databaseAiding in Marketing Strategy formation by:- Creating Social Media posts to increase connections and drive brand recognition- Creating a Social Media calendar for the majority of the next four months- Categorizing over 1000 media files from our archives- Performing a competitor analysis on 18 of our competitors website and social presence and making recommendations as to what we can improve to gain a competitive edgeFinancial Exercises:- Brainstorming ways to tap into new, consistent cash flows- Aiding in the process to determine the long term vs short term effects of investing ~$35,000 into new equipmentI also learned by observing experts at work. The creative methods of the amazing design team at Trailside Creative (Kyle, Rob, Myrna, and Seth) flowed into my brainstorming work, and the astuteness, professionalism and vision demonstrated by Garrett Kettler taught me more than simply the hard skills of business.
