I led efforts to generate new business opportunities in adjacent markets for Gore’s Medical Products Division. • I invented and developed an implantable sensor device opportunity which combined Gore capabilities with external partnership to create a potential therapy-changing-product for heart failure patients. My role includes team leadership and project execution through idea inception, IP formation, prototype creation, testing, animal studies, building and maintaining external partnerships. In addition I drove the creation and assessment of the business case. My technical and business work resulted in an investment worthy opportunity for transition into commercialization development.• I led a team in pursuit of a potential acquisition opportunity, which included forming external partner relationship, analyzing potential for acquisition, and pitching a plan to acquire. My work provided thorough technical and business evidence for informed portfolio decision regarding acquisition.• I was interim technical leader for ~30 technical associates.

I led a joint innovation effort between Gore and UnderArmour, including both business and technical accountability, to create and launch the fastest drying performance t-shirt in UA's portfolio. • I successfully initiated and developed a joint partnership with UnderArmour. This collaboration delivered my original concept idea and invention into a new co-developed technology and co-branded product offering. I successfully drove the Gore effort to bring this technology to the market as a first undertaking within the new GORE-TEX INFINIUM product suite. • I led the effort to execute a complex technical project on an accelerated timeline in collaboration with UnderArmour's R&D group. This effort resulted in a re-prioritization of partner's portfolio to aggressively pursue an imminent launch with the new Gore technology. This technology boasts the longevity and flexibility for multiple years of planned future growth and product expansions, and the product has become a Best-Seller on the UA website.• I determined a new-to-Gore business model that created a compelling win for all players in the value chain to achieve high volume premium pricing at retail to consumers.• I built key external supply chain partnerships that successfully delivered high quality, high performing products. This newly created supply chain is also capable of delivering to a broad range of future trademark license brands and end uses.

I provided key technical input in hundreds of customer and supply chain interactions. I mastered the use of Business Model Canvas and Lean Start-Up methodology and tools.• I delivered a compelling portfolio of textile technologies, enabling new product lines for Gore in multiple categories. • I led Gore's sweat management performance socks from inception to market launch in one-third the typical business cycle time. The product received overwhelmingly positive customer and end user reviews. • I coordinated new supply chain implementation, including: building key vendor and customer relationships, ensuring appropriate IP protection, driving financial assessment discussions, and providing waterline decision on technical aspects of design for the new products.• I provided leadership to a diverse cross-functional team.

I was responsible for the invention and characterization of new fiber and textile technologies for performance apparel applications, as well as the resultant development and commercialization of an initial product: military combat jungle uniforms "Katana". • I am a lead inventor on several patent applications in this field • I identified key performance differentiation and value propositions for the new fiber technologies in performance fabric applications. My work led to the evaluation of a new Distinctive Capability for the Fabrics Divisional portfolio, divisional strategy revision, and new business opportunities evaluation.• I proactively engaged with key textile industry experts both internally and externally for technology and manufacturing assessment. I rapidly demonstrated successful product feasibility via prototypes as well as full scale commercial processing experiments and demonstrations.• I provided clear technical insight to help win a customer contract for a product containing the new fiber technology, and subsequently drove the commercialization of the product.

I was responsible for GORE-TEX waterproof breathable apparel product developments, including multi-weather and fire-retardant laminates and garments, which led to the development and launch of Light & Fast military fabrics and significant product improvements to GORE-TEX Active Shell. • I developed and commercialized an improved Waterproof/Windproof/Breathable membrane composite into military, public safety, and consumer garment products.• I was responsible for strategically leveraging a military fabric development into the consumer and public safety product spaces, ultimately applying the new membrane composite technology to our premium GORE-TEX Active Shell line, resulting in significant increases in product performance and customer adoption.

I was responsible for creating and characterizing novel material composites and redesigning an industrial product process to improve yields. • I discovered and implemented a solution to an industrial product manufacturing process that eliminated the need for a multi-million dollar overhaul while significantly improving product yields and consistency.• I successfully created and characterized a new ePTFE composite process to determine the limits of its properties and capabilities, and determined potential end uses for its application.
