I was hired as a consultant by Winrock in 2019 to support the USAID Thailand CTIP project. My two assignments were as follows:1. Conduct field research in 4 provinces in Thailand and write a report on the strengths and weaknesses of the different complaint mechanisms available to Thai migrant workers and provide recommendations for improvement.Responsibilities: • Develop a detailed research design and timeline outlining proposed methodology, research questions and final report structure • Conduct desk research and interviews with key informants to collate and analyze the variety of hotlines and other complaint outlets used by and/or available to stateless migrants and victims of trafficking in Thailand, both nationally and in depth in the following provinces: Trat, Chiang Rai, Sa Kaeo, and Surat Thani, and assess their effectiveness, and identify their strengths and weaknesses to support improvements to the existing systems and outreach. • Highlight ways in which groups use hotlines and complaint mechanisms differently, such as men, women, LGBTQI and ethnic minorities. • Provide conclusions and recommendations regarding successful complaint mechanisms and identify potential alternatives to traditional hotlines that could be piloted in the USAID Thailand CTIP project in collaboration with private sector and grantees. 2. Edit and create a concise report on alternative models for shelter-care provision for trafficking survivors.Responsibilities: • Review previously conducted research on shelter services and gather new insights and knowledge.• Conduct desk research and interviews (as needed).• Review & edit current draft of Alternative Shelter report to form a concise final report of around 40 pages describing alternative models for shelter services.• Recommend care approaches to be considered by the Royal Thai Government to assist them in better meeting victim needs.

The Labour Rights Promotion Network Foundation (LPN) is committed to protecting and improving the lives of migrant workers in Thailand. We strive to advocate for equality, both in the workplace and the community, and aim to assist migrants and their families integrate peacefully into Thai society. • Conducted field research and published reports on human trafficking and forced labor in the Thai fishing industry (one paper was published in the Anti-Trafficking Review on April 30, 2018)• Managed and drafted funding proposals for international NGOs (e.g. Plan International, Freedom Fund etc.) & government donors (e.g. US Govt’s J/TIP Office, Kingdom of the Netherlands)• Managed the implementation of a “worker voice” program for Walmart’s seafood workers at the factory level: designed the SOP, oversaw trainings within factories, monitored the grievance process, developed KPIs, etc.• Forged partnerships with private sector partners in the seafood industry (e.g. Walmart, Thai Union) to increase supply chain transparency; • Built English version website from the ground up• Participated in rescue & repatriation operations of victims of human trafficking or labor abuse
