I have 10 years of experience as a creator of new concepts across f&b + hospitality.I'm an LA-born hospitality director who has conceived & lead projects with developers, hospitality groups, designers, architects, artists, chefs & beverage professionals to push new cultural ideas that excite the global audience of this contemporary generation. I weave in the language of art into the design, food, beverage, service and every aspect of a brand. After launch, I am pushing to balance sales & marketing initiatives with culture building strategies, evaluating value vs cost. I've developed partnerships + content that strengthens brand narrative by continuing the never-ending mission of generating current & lasting connection points with your audience to participate/engage with.Born in Los Angeles to a Korean Immigrant mother & Irish-American father, I am a mixed race culturally global thinker who understands the evolving convergence of Euro-America & Asia-Pacific.Reaching the Asian-American/European-Asian audience has never been more important for global brands operating internationally. Whether the goal is to engage with the english speaking audience or learning the nuanced strategies required to localize with Asian language audience, I am fluent in both American & Asian cultures/language. My time working with Japanese brands & artists in LA & Tokyo gives me additional insight to the Asia-US market that is centered around these culture leading hubs.My passion for Los Angeles began with art + street-culture in the 90's & early 2000's. Action sports, skateboarding & snowboarding, music, filming parts with friends, exploring the city, taking photographs & editing video was how I developed my creative voice, participated in the cultural fabric of the city, built community, learned about design & fashion. After studying information systems & marketing in college, I started my career in event production/design, working on large scale productions & events for entertainment companies/artists and brands.I took my event production/design experience and began my hospitality journey for the past 8 years, opening a small coffee shop, a natural wine/sake bar, then a japanese ryokan inspired cafe/bar/restaurant. I've directed design & construction, developed branding/marketing campaigns, executed & collaborated on culture building events with clients across film/entertainment/fashion/technology/design & hospitality. I create a platform for artistic stories by launching hospitality concepts that foster culture.
