On the discontinuation of the former Capital Area IT Council, partnered with a number of volunteers to continue bringing learning and connection to the Greater Lansing Area through a new organization, the Capital Area Tech Hub (CATECH). We're growing quickly and within our first year have been pleased to bring monthly events to the community.

Direct team of 3 first-line managers over a team of over 50 staff and contractors to implement strategies and solutions that fulfill the information needs of the State's Department of Human Services. Developed multi-year strategic plans to balance delivery of enterprise strategic needs with tactical and operational needs, while modernizing IT and EDW infrastructure. Collaborated with multiple business units and managed the IT team to define program needs, analyze business workflows, develop BI capabilities, and improve data quality. Succeeded in achieving measurable high-level of data quality for core set of business measures: Case Reserves, Paid Losses, Written Premium, and Unearned Premium. Facilitated conversion of core Actuarial Quarter-End analysis to EDW and Business Objects, providing proven data quality, a simplified process, and a 1- to 2- day time savings each quarter-end. Supported development of a suite of reports using EDW through Business Objects to help Claims and Business Development gain efficiencies and control costs.
