• Expanded responsibilities, now leading ~50 engineers in the US and China making up multiple teams that are responsible for the consumer experiences on web, iOS, and Android, systems that enable sellers of all sizes to list and sell their tickets, integrations with 3rd party ticketers and point of sale systems, the back office systems for customer support and operations teams, data engineering, and machine learning / data science.• Steered the full migration of our entire platform from StubHub’s previous parent company, eBay’s, data centers and onto Google Cloud to save the company millions of dollars in fees for transitional service agreements and to prepare for the merger.• Facilitated the duplication of the platform in its entirety and separated all of the data appropriately to the international and North American copies, allowing the successful divestment of StubHub’s international business, the final hurdle in allowing the merger to proceed per the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority.

• Recruited new innovation team from 0 to 15 engineers through a combination of internal transfers and external hires• Incubated 3 new product offerings to reinvigorate growth targeting average order value, repeat sales, and the generation of off-site sales respectively that collectively targeted a 15% increase in GMS.• Completed and rolled out one one of those offerings, shopping cart functionality, to customers despite COVID disruptions and distractions resulting in improved product experience and increase in AOV.• Managed 15 person engineering team through massive uncertainty, driving technology roadmap decisions based on company goals of cash preservation and recoupment.• Worked closely with a cross-functional team to devise, build, roll out, and support a program to “stop the bleeding” of cash and give 120% credits to customers whose events were cancelled - a program subsequently copied by our competitors - resulting in cash preservation of hundreds of millions of dollars.

• Accomplished main mission of integrating TalentShare team and technology into The Muse in 9 months.• Migrated the TalentShare technology that was acquired into the Muse's ecosystem, conducted research discussions with Muse customers and conceived of and implemented a product built on the technology that aligned with the Muse's value proposition, rolling all of this out to customers within one quarter.• Rebuilt the Data team to focus primarily on recommendations and personalization both through hiring new team members and refocusing the work of the team.• Led the team in the development of a series of recommendation algorithms and their implementation into the consumer-facing applications as both engineering manager and product manager, creating a path that moved the Muse's users from content to relevant job listings. Most of these algorithms were new to the product but those that were able to be A/B tested saw 50%+ improvements in click through rate over the prior versions.

In the course of leading product and engineering for TalentShare, I envisioned and wrote product specifications and wireframes for the TalentShare product, drove and contributed to the execution of its development, and ensured it met a high bar of quality from both a functional and user experience perspective. I then took the product and technology we'd created and developed relationships with the founders and executives of the Muse, leading to our acquisition by them in 2018.During my time with TalentShare, my responsibilities and accomplishments included:• Conceived and built a product that communicates with candidates about the status of their applications for jobs at our partner companies, converting new users to be active within our system at a blended rate of over 25%, while routinely receiving unsolicited positive feedback.• Developed API integrations with 7 of the top Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSes)• Built a recommender system that matches candidates to other jobs. Iterated on the algorithm more than a dozen times to continuously improve both quality and quantity of applications.• Recruited and hired full-stack development and machine learning engineers and established processes to consistently deliver product features on time. Mentored team members to develop their technical acumen and leadership abilities and connected them with meaningful work of interest to them.• Directed UI/UX design contractors in contributing to both the TalentShare product, brand, and marketing website.• Architected and led team in the development of a tech stack that included Node.js, isomorphic React, PostgreSQL, Python, PHP, Objective-C, and React Native while leveraging Amazon web services such as EC2, RDS, Kinesis, S3, SQS, and more.
