My visual art practice has been continuous since completing under-graduate studies at the South Australian School of Art in 1981, as an integral methodological part of a teaching career spanning forty years. After leaving my position as visual art teacher and Deputy Principal of Jerudong International School, Brunei Darussalam, in 2005, I have dedicated myself to the maintenance of a full-time visual art practice based in South Australia and Singapore. During that time I have exhibited extensively in solo, group and award exhibitions, with work featuring in private collections throughout Asia, Europe, Australia, USA and South America, as well as corporate, consular and national collections.Further to my individual practice since returning to Australia, I have co-founded and participated in open studio cooperatives, co-curated international and local exhibitions, coordinated art therapy programmes for disenfranchised secondary students and adults with intellectual disabilities, undertaken artist residencies and provided tuition and mentorship to various groups both locally and internationally.In 2014, I completed a Master of Visual Art by studio based research at the University of South Australia, where I also worked as studio tutor in painting and drawing. Since 2010 I have been represented by ReDot Fine Art Gallery in Singapore, where I also established Kallang Pudding Studio in 2016, facilitating mentor workshops and tutor groups. Since July 2017, I have been based on Jeju Island, South Korea, where I am currently Department Head for the Visual Arts at Branksome Hall Asia International School.
