Originally a 6 Months Contracting Assignment extended to 1 year via Allegis Global Solutions, working within M&IB Documentation. Main function was to negotiate framework agreements providing a platform for derivatives and capital market transactions, such as ISDA Master Agreements and CSAs in accordance with the requirements laid down with RBS' Documentation Policy. During the latter stages I was heavily involved with on-boarding new funds/accounts for some of the City's major asset managers as well as pension funds and hedge funds. All negotiators undertake negotiations independently with end users/clients based upon relevant credit approvals, internal instructions and procedures. Negotiators are required to cooperate with and coordinate with different internal clients, including credit risk, legal and business segments, as well as marketing and trading staff whilst managing their own files and ensuring all performance targets achieved. From time to time negotiators will provide internal training among team members and to main stakeholders such as credit risk and business colleagues.I joined RBS to work with a varied portfolio of negotiations including hedge funds, pension funds, asset managers, trusts, structured finance deals etc. My main role was to manage and negotiate the documentation requirements of 4 key investment management houses to ensure new mandates and funds were successfully on-boarded ahead of their required launch dates. In addition, I played a key role in the successful re-negotiation of derivatives documentation with several key clients to ensure accounts were retained by RBS.I left RBS of my own accord to spend time planning my forthcoming wedding in November and to attend to some person affairs. With the contract market picking up, I am again looking for active employment.
After working long hours for many years, I have taken some time out to sort out my personal affairs and look after my ailing mother. This has been achieved and I am now looking to return to work and find the right job. With my work track record and recently updated skills, I believe I would bring the advertised requirements and much more to any role associated with derivatives documentation. Whilst taking time out also I participated in a number of charity fundraising events and did some volunteering work. I also successfully completed a solo cycle ride from John O'Groats to Land's End and a Zambezi River canoe and white water rafting challenge. I am fully aware that there have been a plethora of regulatory changes during my time out but I have kept on top of these through constant research and liaison with fellow colleagues.
