The role of this working group is to address barriers that Internationally Educated Professionals in the information, communications and technology fields face when seeking skills/education related employment in Canada. The working group is comprised of professionals from the Employer Council of Champions organizations and immigrant serving agencies. The working group makes recommendations and implements solutions to common barriers such as Canadian work experience requirements, language, cultural differences, access to professional networks and human resources processes. The working group also endeavors to create hiring opportunities by linking qualified immigrants with local employers.

Significant Accomplishments:- Introduced innovative staffing and support options for international automotive manufacturer; augmenting services over a 5-year period. Moved from #4 to #2 vendor position and grew market share from 16% to 33%. - Created and assumed Customer Champion role, advancing concepts of internal and external clients. Led cross-functional process improvements for internal processes that resulted in superior service enhancements and exponential revenue growth.- Facilitated meetings with at risk key client and members of Calian executive team; discussing customer concerns. Rapidly implemented process changes that led to successful retention of $5M contract.- Devised and orchestrated sales and management training program; mentoring and supporting individuals at all levels. In three years, produced exceptional team of highly motivated producers, successes that reduced turnover from 40% to 13%.

Significant Accomplishment:- Instituted a Team Model; permanently pairing an Account Executive with a Recruiter; each having equal responsibility for closing business and generating profits. Created a pro-active approach to doing business and increased gross margin from 16% to 23% over a 6 month period.

Significant Accomplishments:- Partnered with an international Systems Integrator for staffing resources project; scouting from among retired military to fill Department of National Defence roles. Moved to Tier 1 supplier status; bringing annual revenue from $400K to $2.5M. - Penetrated Federal Government department, won contract, provided innovative solutions, and instituted outstanding technical resources; as a result, secured over $300K annual revenue and assisted the organization in winning multiple ongoing agreements across the government valued at over $7M annually.
