Located in Chelsea, The Lindner Studio has been one of New York’s premier studios for over thirty years. Our staff includes experienced photographers, artists, and designers who are intelligent and caring people. Experts at what we do, we are devoted to guiding our clients through the process of all their photographic needs. David Lindner comes from four generations of professional photographers. His mentor was Philippe Halsman, the legendary Life Magazine cover photographer. With grants in the arts, he specialized in dance, theater, portraiture, and published the magazine Dance Life. As a photographer, David’s subjects have ranged broadly: from the President of the United States (congressmen, governors, and mayors, too) to school children; from gangsters to firefighters; from the world’s greatest ballet dancers to tango pros to jazz dancers and musicians; from boxers to circus performers; from rock stars and celebrities to performers from virtually all over the world. David’s art photography has been shown in numerous galleries, museums, and books. In 2004 he was honored with a United States postage stamp featuring his performance photography of America’s greatest choreographer, George Balanchine. Truly high-level photography.
