The Senior Deputy General Counsel, Service Programs Division, reports directly to the General Counsel and exercises management oversight over the Deputy General Counsels for the Litigation and Program Counseling Unit (LPCU), the MICSA Litigation and Program Counseling Unit (MLPCU), the Child Support Litigation and Program Counseling Unit (CSLPCU), and the Privacy Officer. LPCU is the programmatic counsel to the Cash Assistance and Food Stamp programs, and provides legal counsel and litigation support to HRA's Family Assistance Administration and Customized Assistance Services. MLPCU provides legal counsel and litigation support to the Home Care Services Program, the HIV and AIDS Services Administration, Adult Protective Services, the Medical Assistance Program and the Medicaid Managed Care Program. CSLPCU provides counseling and litigation support to HRA's Office of Child Support Enforcement. The Privacy Officer provides the agency with legal counseling on issues relating to privacy and confidentiality, and serves as the agency's HIPAA compliance officer.
