Hgv Driver (Cat B1, C1, C, D1, C1E, Ce)Class 1 Hgv Driver Feb 2020 - PresentGreater Glasgow AreaI obtained my HGV License at the 1st time of asking in February 2020.. 🚚.My thought process was, as I had worked in the transport/ logistics industry for many years, obtaining my HGV license 🪪 would not only give me more experience within the industry I worked in, but would also open up other opportunities and give me more valuable knowledge ✔️Since passing my test I have gained valuable experience driving with companies such as Royal Mail during Peak, Gist at Peak, DPD, Arrow XL (2 man) APC Overnight, Menzies Distribution, XDP, Pegasus Express and Sainsbury’s (class 2 fridge work) amongst others. During this period I have gained experience driving all types of vehicles from 3.5T vans, 7.5T with tail lifts to 44ton artics 🚛 and double deckers, mega trailers, curtains and boxes. I have experience in multi drop, trailer drops, trunking, pallet network deliveries, distance work, cage work, fridge work, store deliveries, strapping and load securing and am comfortable working all types of equipment. I am also up to date with the current legislation and have a valid CPC and Digi card, and am comfortable with manual entries and all legislation and driver requirements. I do still get behind the wheel and drive from time - time. 🚚 A lot of my initial driving experience was gained at Royal Mail where I worked during Peak delivering between Mail Centres throughout Scotland, this was a great grounding, as it taught me a lot about compliance and doing things properly, manual entries for example. I feel I have a varied experience in all aspects of driving from vans to Class 2 and Class 1.
