Helping people and companies to succeed—identifying and realizing opportunities—motivates me. I enjoy entering struggling businesses and working with the team to create positive change. Each time I meet a challenge, I immediately start processing dozens of operational gaps. I can quickly identify opportunities to cut costs and increase revenues. An example from a previous opportunity: Step 1: Engaged the company to see 16 warehouses overflowing with inventory. Step 2: Identify 3 immediate goals: find buyers today, set up robust inventory tracking systems, and create pre-buy evaluation protocols.Step 3: Develop long-term profitability plans through developing partnerships for procurement and sales.Step 4: Understand and close the gap, in this case with Quality Salvage Industries, a $100M retail value. It is important for people to work and to see the value of their efforts. Just as my work helps to make companies successful, most of my volunteer work is aimed at helping people to be active and to know their own value. I work with the elderly, homeless, and those facing other challenges. In each case, the focus stays on supporting the person’s independence and personal dignity.
