• Analyzed scientific literature pertaining to the phenomenon of (controlled) hypoxic bradycardia in allergen sensitive macaques.
• Examined previous experiments conducted by PI to elucidate the mystery surrounding hypoxic bradycardia, as well as an onset of obesity as a result of being house dust mite sensitive.
• Hypothesized in desensitized neuronal firing within the vagus nerve at the nucleus tractus solitari, eliciting bradycardic response during a hypoxic episode, in conjunction with baroreceptor firing.
