Advanced from a position as a junior programmer to leading a team of five developers in the development and maintenance of a cross-platform user front-end for a real-time Naval warfare simulator (JIMM).• Back-end components written in C++, using an SQL database for data storage; front-end consisted of Tcl/Tk GUI components wrapped around a multi-threaded C++ 3D map component• Developed a direct interface between the user front-end and the simulation engine • Supported Windows, Red Hat Linux, and IRIX platforms • Provided direct support to customers and presented work at the semi-annual JIMM Users’ Group conference
