My name is David Mellor and in 2017, I completed my NFQ level 7 Leaving Certificate studying Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English, History, Spanish and Irish. This year I have successfully completed an undergraduate BSc (Hons) at the National University of Ireland, Galway. I majored in physiology and minored in anatomy, and I am expecting an overall result of 2:1. I also studied microbiology, biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematical studies.My experience with laboratory work, report writing, critical thinking and data analysis has resulted in improved analysis and judgment abilities. Over the past 4 years, I have gained experience in many different laboratory environments working with cadaveric material to microbial material and maintained a professional, highly precise environment where health and safety were regarded with utmost care. Physiology labs have allowed me to gain experience in the fields of respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, endocrinology and immunology medicine.I have in-depth knowledge and background of human physiology. I am a highly organised, motivated and well-maintained individual with good timekeeping skills. I have worked throughout my degree which demonstrates that I am a hard worker. In these jobs I have shown to be honest, reliable, and trustworthy. Management and leadership come naturally to me and as I make an excellent team player as my strengths complement each other and enable me to be an efficient and asset to any team.I wish to continue to further my abilities and knowledge with a determination to obtain all relevant certifications or registrations as I continue in the field of clinical science. I have a keen interest in innovations, especially in healthcare provision and love to embrace participate in and facilitate any new research which can be used to provide better healthcare for patients especially in human physiology.
