I am not an active PIO at this time. I'm actually delivering jet fuel to locations in the Southwestern US..I was a volunteer #LESM specialist with a Phoenix area Public Safety agency. I was responsible for coordinating the department's social media identity, purpose, & message. I'm also learning to work in the field of law enforcement PIO. I was an example of what happens when you bother the PIO too much, and he finally says "come and join the dark side." I must admit, the cookies were delicious. I have held an Amateur Radio license since 1983, and still have an interest in Emergency Management, Communications and Response. However, that interest has expanded into how Emergency Management interfaces with Social Media, and the creation of the citizen reporter. As an amateur radio operator, I have a background in emergency communications, emergency preparedness and public service.
