• Provided Actuarial support to a number of public sector pension schemes including for valuations (both funding with notional assets and accounting following the requirements of the Financial Reporting Manual), factor reviews and associated calculations, scheme design and costing, and membership projections. • Valuation work included data checking, analysing experience, setting assumptions, completing liability calculations on different bases and reporting back to the client. • Designed various models in Microsoft Excel to be utilised by clients to test various scenarios• Undertook member transfer calculations and tax calculations allowing for the annual allowance and lifetime allowance impacts on career profiles• Calculated loss of benefits due to accident or injury as part of compensation cases, including preparing reports to be used as evidence in such cases• Managed the trainee induction programme for all new starters including both the logistics and content of sessions. Started a programme to provide more support to presenters including constructive feedback to aid their future development and presentation skills. Also acted as a central point of contact for new joiners to help them settle into the organisation• Well versed in delegating work to, and coaching, more junior members of teams to ensure they understand tasks and feel confident asking questions to further their understanding• Experienced in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) alongside SuperVal and VBA• Studied the exams of Institute and Faculty of Actuaries gaining passes in all Core Technical (CT) exams
