My years of experience in both engineering and working with a supply authority have proven this role is as much about managing complex project methodologies and approval processes as it is about doing the technical work. And quite apart from design, documentation and project management of electrical infrastructure, there are other aspects of Level 3 ASP services, like:/ De-risking electrical infrastructure projects/ Integrating level 3 into building services/ High Voltage Designs (including Authority ASP Level 3 -NSW)/ Undergrounding of overhead assets/ Pole & wire relocation/ Embedded networks/ Public Domain lighting design/ Negotiations with Council and Authorities.Working within an organisation of significant technical depth and experience, to design and deliver electrical infrastructure projects. One of my roles as a HV and Electrical Infrastructure lead, ensures technical expertise and leadership in negotiation with the authorities for connections and asset relocation projects. This includes projects connected to electrical networks or various voltages, including both distribution and transmission voltages. Close internal collaboration within office multi-discipline projects, ensures optimum coordination and efficiencies are invested into our projects. We are focused on cost-effective solutions – negotiating practical outcomes in very challenging and highly constrained sites. We understand how supply authorities think, so we can effectively project manage approvals to avoid costly project delays. Key projects associations include Sydney Metro (TfNSW) Rail and Infrastructure, Melbourne Metro HV Peer Review, Parramatta & Newcastle Light Rail, Western Harbour Tunnel & Beaches Link, ARTC In-land Rail, Central Barangaroo, the complex Castle Towers Shopping Centre refurbishment, and a new 13-storey commercial tower with heritage components on York Street – a particularly challenging project because of the train line 1m below the surface on part of the site! Please get in touch if there’s some way we can provide expert advice on your project’s electrical infrastructure, or even just to get some input as you consider the spatial approach to a new project.
