I worked on Sitely (http://www.sitely.com.au), an application that allowed users to quickly create websites for their business.As an analyst I wrote technical documentation including functional requirements. I captured and designed system workflows and specified and designed system APIs, did gap analysis of our competitors and researched different technical approaches for integrating with several third third party systems.I was a senior member of the core development team writing this Zend Framework application. Work involved coding core libraries and system functionality, database design, integrating the product with many third party systems (payment gateways, dns providers, google analytics, social media, etc), testing and quality assurance.

Work involved development of new co-branded website for The West Australian Newspaper (http://www.thewest.com.au) serving hundreds of thousands of unique visitors a day.I built up a library of reusable PHP modules for this site that generated common generic html. These modules were then reused across Yahoo's many media properties.

As an architect I was responsible for defining backend architecture / data structures for an enterprise Web 2.0 project collaboration tool. I also built up core backend and frontend UI functionality into the product. Features I worked on included users shared and private calendars, a web based document management system, an email client, social bookmarking, wiki, contact management etc.Development was done in PHP5 (OO) with the Zend Framework and jQuery runing on LAMP.

My main responsibility was project management of a corporate website refresh.This included overseeing development of a new CMS, development of new site functionality, migration of tens of thousands of pages of multilingual content, a site redesign and rebrand.Throughout this project I was responsible for* Developing test plans and functional specifications* Defining systems and workflow processes for Bird and Bird's content management requirements* Chief contact point for multiple external design agencies and technical consultantsI also was in developing a PHP extranet product to provide information about international employment legislation to Bird and Bird's clients.

Working in the systems team of Linklaters Knowledge Management Group, I analysed systems and solutions for KM strategy. Responsible for researching and adopting Web 2.0 technologies (wikis, enteprise RSS, credentials database) for the firm.
