I am an experienced Software Architect and Software Engineer. I have extensive experience architecting and developing large-scale Web-applications, based around micro-service architectures running in containers. I also have experience migrating complex applications to run on Docker and Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). I also have experience migrating monolithic architectures to micro-services, based on REST.My development skills include Java, HTML/JS/CSS, PHP, cross-platform C. I am also familiar with Open Source development models.I have extensive experience in architecting and developing very large scale distributed systems using the aforementioned technologies, supporting a global user-base in the millions. I have particular specialities in the areas of Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication, and security and am an expert in security-related architectures such as PKI, Certification Authorities and SSL/TLS. I am also an expert in identity standards such as SAML, OpenID Connect and OAuth.I have presented papers at several national and international conferences and working groups (including the TERENA Task Force on European Middleware Coordination and Collaboration) in the areas of authentication, single sign-on and security.
