My friend and I created light orbs out of chicken wire and Christmas lights. This work experience helped me develop multiple business skills. We developed a strong outbound marketing technique where people would see our lights, want them, and then have the resources to contact us before they even knew it. This was done by installing them in a friends yard and then putting flyers in the mailboxes of all the nearby houses. I also learned how to keep account of inventory, sales, costs, and profits through the use of spreadsheets on excel. I developed many customer relationships and re-install many people's lights annually.

Completed daily tasks of a project engineer and field engineer on a 40+ million dollar commercial project. Reviewed specifications, drawings, stamped RFIs, prepared submittals, punch/completion lists, and organized construction document files. Arrived at site each morning and checked on subcontractors attendance and completion of work, while also making sure each sub had the materials they needed to complete their work for the day. Assisted carpenter and craft foreman in a multitude of tasks such as grouting, grinding down concrete, constructing temporary doors/walls, wall repair, and much more hands-on work. Learned first-hand about the daily duties and responsibilities of a project superintendent through some excellent leaders while assisting them with their everyday tasks. Observed the handling of constant change and progression in a project as a project manager through meetings and field walks with very knowledgeable people. Overall an extremely enriching work experience that has led me to pursue work in the construction industry.
