Frozen Strategy- Kraft Pizza Division• Provided financial insights into ’08 South Beach (SB) Entrees/ Breakfast Wraps exit scenarios that recommended a business exit strategy that resulted in annual saving of $16M.• Provided analysis of the SB Entrees business vs. Lean Cuisine to better understand structural vs. actionable cost differences.• Evaluated optimization of the Entrees T&D costs in the Kraft Frozen network, identifying highest cost drivers which led team to pursue solutions to have more direct to RDC shipments and to decrease shipment intervals to increase shipment volume.• During our “Exit with Excellence” initiative, provided trade financial leadership, which resulted in enhanced funding requests of $.8M through existing funds and not by releasing fixed funds; also, requested repayment of $.2M in customer payments that were not spent against our business; also, lead inventory disposition team that drove write-offs $.4 mil favorable to the budget.• Recommended that South Beach Pizza advertising spending to align with world-class bench marking of spending as % of Net revenue, improving margins by 5 pts.• Recommend “For One” F&D trade efficiencies saving $1.2M by using % execution and % ACV factors in light of the fact that in ’08 they were funding new item funding.• Part of “For One” Margin improvement team that identified opportunities to improve margins 2 pts in ’09; provided financial positioning and solutions to progress a CPK for One line extension through margin hurdles and operational constraints enabled the division to realize $.9M of incremental margin.Significant Highlights:• Managed and balanced risks and opportunities for challenging P&Ls that absorbed a $1.7M finished goods lawsuit, $1.5 mil in productivity targets that could not be reached with exit and $1.3Mil in excess inventory due to a reinvention planning and distribution losses; Overall, the team was favorable to our Exit saving target by $1.2 mil.
