I am a scientific editor working for an international publishing house. As an editor, I also give career talks on publishing, as well as workshops on science writing. My editorial training comes from Wiley-VCH and workshops I attended as a graduate student (Science Writing, Science Communication, Communicating Science to the Media, Optimizing Journal Submissions, Intercultural Communication), as well as additional workshops on publishing and communication as an editor.Before joining Wiley-VCH, I completed degrees in chemistry and biology (doctor of natural sciences) and also taught undergraduate courses in general chemistry, biochemistry/molecular biology, and science & society. I also have a minor degree in German Studies and am interested in German history, culture, and language.Aside from my editorial tasks for ChemMedChem/Chemistry Europe, I also give regular talks on various topics related to science publishing and science communication.
